“Do You Really Know Where You’re Heading?”
Because here’s what I’m starting to realise…
For so much of our lives, we believe we need a perfectly mapped-out plan. A clear destination. A defined path. We think certainty equals success.
But what if it doesn’t?
What if life isn’t asking us to have it all figured out… but instead asking us to stay open enough to adjust when things change?
Because they will.
Sometimes the changes are small. Sometimes they completely stop you in your tracks. And sometimes, like in my case, they come all at once and force you to reassess not just what you’re doing… but why you’re doing it.
A year ago, I thought I knew exactly what 2026 would look like. And if I’m honest, I felt comfortable in that certainty.
But sitting at that dinner table a week ago, hearing myself say that I wasn’t sure I wanted to speak full time… that was a moment of truth. Not a step backwards, not a lack of ambition… just a little bit of clarity.
And maybe that’s the point.
Maybe knowing where you’re heading isn’t about locking in a rigid plan. Maybe it’s about being in tune with what matters to you right now.
Because what mattered to you five years ago might not matter today.
And that’s not failure… that’s growth.
So instead of asking, “Do I have my whole life mapped out?”
Maybe a better question is, “Am I heading in a direction that feels right for me right now?”
Because direction matters more than detail.
And permission… permission to change your mind, to adjust your pace, to redefine what success looks like—that might just be the most powerful plan of all.
So I’ll ask again…
Do you know where you’re heading?
Or maybe more importantly… are you allowing yourself to change direction if it no longer feels right?
